Dear CVMFA Families,
With great sadness we learned that Briana Keefe’s courageous battle with a tumor at the base of her neck had come to an end. It is always difficult to accept the death of a child, and we cannot help but question the reason she and her family had to endure so much. Briana was a spirited CVMFA cheerleader and a joy to all who knew her. She was a wonderful young lady with a beautiful smile and bright, sparkling eyes. We ask that you keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers, and keep Briana’s memory in your heart. Although we knew our time with Briana was limited due to her illness, the news of her passing deeply touched her coaches, teammates, and all of her friends. We hope that her family may find some small comfort in knowing that Briana touched the lives of many during her short passage on this Earth, and that she will never be forgotten.
Please pause for a moment and reflect upon this inspirational quote in Briana’s honor: “What the caterpillar calls the end of the world the master calls a butterfly.” - Richard Bach
Without a doubt, Briana earned her wings and is now an angel among us.
